Four SuperValu stores in Westmeath: Buckley’s SuperValu Moate and Mullingar, Smith’s SuperValu Monksland, and Fennell’s SuperValu Kinnegad were recently presented with the Supreme Excellence Ireland Quality Award by Martin Kelleher, managing director, SuperValu and Irene Collins, managing director, Excellence Ireland Quality Association (EIQA) at the 2014 SuperValu Quality Awards ceremony held in Killarney.

SuperValu, Ireland’s leading community supermarket, has donated €100,000 to Focus Ireland. As part of SuperValu’s ongoing commitment to Irish communities, 14 cent from every 19 cent bag of carrots, net of Brussels sprouts, and melons sold in the days before Christmas 2013 were donated to Focus Ireland. All eight SuperValu stores across Mayo contributed to the campaign encouraging sales of carrots, Brussels sprouts, and melons in an effort to further enhance SuperValu’s charitable contribution to Focus Ireland.

Gregory O’Gorman has been appointed as Group Marketing Director at the Kilkenny Group, having previously operated as the company’s Marketing Manager. A Galway based stocktaking company is set to double its workforce by the end of this year as it expands its Irish operations. Headquartered in Claregalway, Stocktaking.ie employs four full time staff and an additional 90 part- time staff throughout Ireland. The expansion plans will see the number of full time employees double to eight as the company increases its market share in the retail and the food and beverage industry.
